Why People Smoke And Why People Should Quit Smoking

For some people, smoking has been a part of there lives for so long that getting rid of it may seem to be infeasible. There are some who are courageous enough to find means to stop smoking. While some have been successful with it, others are still going through the burden of their withdrawal stage. Some of them cannot help but get back to their dependence on nicotine.

Some scientists have undertaken some studies and observations throughout the years and learned that nicotine is one of the world’s greatest killer drug. In fact, the most habit-forming drug of all. Every smoker addict is no different from a shabu (Methamphetamine) or cocaine user. Even if you can’t feel the results right away, the fact is that it kills your body little by little. The worse part is that most of the time, it’s too late when you notice its bad effects and too late when you decide to turn things around.

There are many causes why people are so addicted to it, and that they seem to show no signs to stop smoking. One very common reason is too much stress. Most smokers think that they’ll be more loosened up and calm when they smoke. The truth is there is no quantity of stress that smoking or nicotine can cure. In fact, nicotine is a stimulant which as a result, makes your heart beat faster. So how can you say that palpitation is a sign of being stress-free?

Another ground why people unfortunately love smoking is because they want to lose weight. It is a fact that smoking can cause you to lose your appetite for food. Some people actually like this effect as it apparently help them to lose weight and not starve for food anymore.

Other causes why people got into the smoking habituation are because of peer pressure, curiosity, and rebellion. While others didn’t like it and felt dizzy or even experienced nausea the first time they tried it, others have tried it again and actually liked the feeling. Time passed by and what they now know today is that they can’t live without a cigarette to puff and getting out of the addiction seems to be the toughest thing to do.

The fact is it’s never too late to change. If you find many grounds why you smoke, well there are far more causes why you should quit. The love for yourself and for your family is sufficient reason why you should take care of your life today. To do that means to stop smoking. Although detachment can be a tough one, there is nothing that your body and your brain can’t overcome if you want to help yourself to the fullest. Although quitting smoking is indeed difficult, it is very manageable to attain.

Have a healthy lifestyle. Quit smoking today and enjoy your family and love ones by living longer and healthier.
