They do not have a filter like cigarettes and this increases the amount of toxins that are inhaled directly to the lungs. Also if one suffers from any respiratory diseases that are hereditary like asthma or emphysema stands a high risk of killing their lungs and that is why many people die at a tender age.
All kinds of cancer are related to smoking that is the lung, mouth, throat, stomach, bladder and cervix and it can also cause one to have painful ulcers because it reduces the flow of blood in the body to parts like the legs and therefore causing ulcers that are impossible to cure.
Mental health
Most of the people suffer from mental illness if they persistently use the hard stuff like the cannabis. It usually starts with persistent headaches, paranoia and depression and of which after someone continues to use it for a long period of time it leads to memory loss and the victims suffers from maniac, depression, anxiety attacks and they worst long term effect of smoking is psychotic symptoms which may also lead to death.
Reproductive organs
Women who smoke stand a high risk of suffering from erratic menstrual cycle and this reduce their ability to conceive. Men are more prone to symptoms such as low sex drive, low sperm count, and erectile dysfunction. Most of the people start smoking without considering the long term effects of smoking and this leads to most break ups and divorces in many marriages.
Breath
A person who has been smoking for a long period of time produces a bad smell from his mouth and this makes it hard for him to share most of his things as he feels uncomfortable when talking in places where many people are. Sharing a blanket with such a person is difficult as you will not be comfortable due to bad breath. The effects of smoking are serious whether talking about long term or short term.
