Using quitting smoking hypnosis really can make it easier to stop smoking. Despite some misconceptions about hypnosis, it is a useful method.
If you’re interested in hypnosis, you can use either self-hypnosis or seek help from a therapist. If the hypnosis is undertaken with a therapist, it can be one-on-one or in group sessions. Group sessions can be small (a half dozen people or so) or quite large. These sessions are usually very affordable and worth trying if one is available in your town.
If you can work with a therapist privately, the success rate goes up for several reasons. For one, the therapist can adjust the treatment according to your individual response to suggestions.

With this technique, you’ll listen to a therapist guiding you through a hypnotic induction, and then make suggestions to help you quit smoking. You can listen to the recording anytime it’s convenient for you. It’s generally recommended that you listen at least once or twice a day.
With this approach, you’ll be working with fairly general suggestions, rather than ones that have been designed specifically for you. And they are very affordable.
I I believe that everyone trying to stop smoking should consider using hypnosis, but I don’t believe hypnosis alone is going to be successful for most people. In other words, I don’t think it is realistic to expect that going to a stop smoking hypnosis seminar or buying a hypnosis CD will be enough to free you from the smoking habit by itself.
