It seems like all that start smoking at a certain time will eventually try to quit. In the entire world, there are 1.2 billions of smokers and paradoxally, more than 70% of them live in the developing countries. Smoking has been around for many centuries, but anti-smoking materials have been published only during the past few decades. In other times, not many people knew anything about smoking and cigarettes, because materials that could reveal the truth about this habit were not available.

Today, thanks to the progresses in technology and media, there are lots of ways for a smoker to inform himself about all the bad connotations of smoking, by media, internet, TV shows, anti-smoking campaigns and medical assistance.

People that tried quitting for a few time but couldn’t do it often call their family doctor. It’s almost incredible how many people want to quit when they wanted to start themselves in so great numbers at a certain age. Since we all start smoking while still teenagers, we have to ask ourselves why? Talking to smoking teenagers is a delicate issue, which must take into consideration the specific of all age related transformations and the structure of each young adult’s personality. Numerous educational programs that were meant to make people quit smoking concluded that the average starting age is 13 -14 years. The decision to smoke comes out of a complex of factors that include attitude, social factors, social pressure and own personal beliefs.
But people that want to quit smoking are not predictable. Having to handle stocks or other investments is an additional stress factor that can keep the close to the cigarette.
